Elia Mascorro thank you!! Glad you found it useful!
Also the tip on using basting and steam to shrink the excess fullness!
That is a very nifty trick with the basting stitch! Thank you for sharing. I’ll be using this method for now on.
so is anyone going to talk about that lovely cat? sure seemed he wanted to be a part of the vedio too. wish i could see him more..
sharmika malwatte lol that’s Lucy, she only makes special appearances when it suits her!
I so wish I could be your apprentice 😭
Lovely!!! I Hope mine looks as stunning!!! 😍
This is gorgeous! Can you tell me what fabric you used for the liner? And will a crepe fabric circle skirt lay the same way?
If that’s the look you want then go for similar to the crepe. A charmeuse or regular poly lining will do!
Thank you! I actually want it to lay soft and take more of my body shape. Would I still use a taffeta underneath?
The fabric was a taffeta, for a real stand out shape you want crisp fabrics. Crepe would definitely drape softer.
Love your video
Thanks! I have never heard of this method and it makes so much sense. My round hems are going to look much better with that basting stitch! Life changer!!! 🤩
I hope you post more videos and more of the dress construction. Your work is beautiful!
Beautiful! I love this method. Other method uses iron, which is impossible for silky satin
